The Municipality of Brumadinho launches the BRUMADINHO REVIGORA BRASIL program, brought to life through a complex that brings together the National Center for Ecosystem Revigoration and Restoration and the National Center for Cryopreservation of Endangered Brazilian Fauna.

To cryopreserve and revitalize the DNA of more than 300 animals at the highest risk of extinction in Brazil.
The initial focus is on 102 threatened mammal species and 148 Brazilian bird species globally threatened with extinction, protecting the irreplaceable genetic heritage of our fauna.

The second revigoration and cryopreservation group brings together emblematic mammals from the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest — charismatic species whose genetic preservation is urgent to ensure the survival of future generations.

The largest primate in the Americas, endemic to the Atlantic Forest, with fewer than 1,000 individuals remaining.
Jaguar
An icon of Brazilian conservation, surviving in fragmented forest areas of Rio de Janeiro.
Maned Wolf
